Nepal – Katmandu and Pokhara.
Perhaps the most transforming and fascinating place we have as yet visited.  Exquisite place and people and somewhere we are drawn to come back to for the trekking  !!
Tibet Guest House in the heart of Thamel – quiet and picturesque, great food, and excellent homely accomodation, excellent service with english speaking staff!
Hotel Barahi – in Pokhara probably the best accomodation at a good price; swimming pool, lovely rooms.

Vietnam
HoiAn – A delightful and picturesque Old town with beautiful architecture, awesome restaurants, and the best selection of hundreds of dressmakers on the planet!
Vinh Hung III – a gorgeous little hotel in the Old Quarter with a lovely pool on the roof top.  Great value rooms and fantastic service.

Cambodia
Siem Reap is a must visit city – check out the Old Quarter for the best restaurants and accomodation.  This is the place of Angkor – ancient temples and palaces.  Well worth the trip into Cambodia just for this!

Bali
We visited the Land of the Gods to extend our visa for Australia.  Here just one week, but had an amazing and fascinating time.  We experienced old world luxury in the glorious region of Ubud whilst staying in the Tjampuhan Hotel and Spa and will return to this heavenly retreat in the rain forest.  A sacred river runs through the property deep down in the valley below.  The views are stunning, the service is superb and the ambiance is like the lost city of Shangri-La.
Chonos Hotel in Lovina – great place; nice location to visit the fantastic snorkelling mecca of Menjangan Island.  Mimpi Resort will base you closer to the exquisite snorkelling.
Lombok
Windy Beach Cottages located in Mangsit Beach Senggigi Lombok, just five kilometers past Senggigi. The hotel has its private beach, and bungalows are romantic and quiet. The restaurant and bar are probably the best around and create no need to visit the town to eat! This place looks out over the blue ocean and is reminiscent of Hawaii.

New Zealand
New Zealand - a must is to do some hikes.  The exquisite wilderness of NZ is tangible and accessible on the famous Routeburn Track in southern fiordfland.
Australia
We met a great couple in Broome, Sonia and Mark from the UK, who also have their own very cool blog journal and some extremely good destination ideas for those of you wanting to travel South America and Asia. Go check it out www.getjealous.com/marksonia

Bangalow NSW – coolest heritage township we’ve come across so far

Mission Beach QLD – beautiful, chilled out village on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef

Cape Tribulation QLD – the northern tropics of the Daintree. This is a great place we stayed at: http://www.capetribfarmstay.com/features.htm.
Mossman Gorge is a wonderful swimming hole just out of Mossman and 15kms from Port Douglas…an absolute must!

The Alice! The gateway to Central Australia and the heart and soul of the great Aussie Outback. stunning ranges, spectacular gum trees, refreshing waterholes, beautiful palm trees, awesome colours, more waterholes, amazing wildlife.

And…from our friend Lori’s travels, we want to visit the island of Naxos, rent a scooter and groove around the tiny island of Nexos, late summer – August / September preferably when the ripeness of olives and fruits and exquisite produce will provide a dining experience to delight the senses! www.naxos-island-greece.com

Thailand
www.akhahill.com – in Chiang Rai Province in Northern Thailand, offers free food and accomodation to volunteers whom will trach english at the school in the village
www.khaosok.com – in Southern Thailand’s Surat Thani Province. Limestone Lake Rainforest Retreat Package; an ideal getaway from tourist crowds. 160 million yr old Rainforest; elephants; tigers; gibbons.

..And One day we would like to visit;
Bhutan
Bhutan is the last place on the ‘Roof of the World’. The Mountain Kingdom of Bhutan is the last unspoiled cultural and ecological preserve in the world. This spiritual place has long captivated us and has always been high on our priorty of places to visit.  Be prepared however, to spend $250USD per day per person for the luxury of visiting Bhutan.
